It also provides protective and supportive measures to prevent or mitigate retaliation experienced by whistleblowers as a result of their reports.<\/p>\n<p>This framework ensures a safer and more transparent environment for addressing workplace violations while safeguarding whistleblowers\u2019 rights and well-being.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-391e76a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"391e76a\" ZZPri?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8015b41 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8015b41\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Who is a Whistleblower under ZZPri?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A whistleblower is a <strong>natural person<\/strong> who reports or publicly discloses information about a violation obtained within their work environment.<\/p>\n<h3>Work Environment<\/h3>\n<p>The work environment refers to a current or past employment or similar relationship in the private or public sector, within which an individual obtains information about a violation and where they might face retaliatory actions if they report the violation.<\/p>\n<h3>Employment and Similar Relationships<\/h3>\n<p>Employment and similar relationships include traditional employment relationships as well as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volunteering<\/li>\n<li>Internships<\/li>\n<li>Apprenticeships<\/li>\n<li>Contract work<\/li>\n<li>Student work<\/li>\n<li>Participation in recruitment processes as a candidate<\/li>\n<li>Performing a function, executing rights, tasks, or powers as a shareholder, or as a member of a supervisory or management body of an entity<\/li>\n<li>Any other collaboration in the activities of a legal or natural person carried out by self-employed individuals based on a contract<\/li>\n<li>Work performed under the supervision and direction of external contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This applies regardless of compensation or whether the relationship has ended, is ongoing, or is being established through recruitment or pre-contract negotiations.<\/p>\n<h3>Protection under ZZPri<\/h3>\n<p>A whistleblower is entitled to protection under the <strong>Whistleblower Protection Act (ZZPri)<\/strong> if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They reasonably believed that the reported information about violations was true at the time of reporting.<\/li>\n<li>They submitted an internal report, an external report, or publicly disclosed information about the violation in accordance with the provisions of ZZPri.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
